National Night Out: Tuesday, August 1st at Poinsettia Park

National Night Out (NNO) is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live. NNO takes place all across the country on the first Tuesday of August each year.  Our local National Night Out will take place on Tuesday, August 1st — from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. — at Poinsettia Park Recreation Center, mostly on the south lawn with the entrance where Fuller Ave. meets Willoughby Ave.

This event is being organized by Melrose Action Neighborhood Watch in coordination with LAPD Wilshire Division and the office of our local City Councilmember Paul Koretz. There will be food, music, presentations, free giveaways and more. It’s fun and educational as you can learn from safety experts and others to help or community.
