FameFest BikeFest & Scavenger Hunt next Sunday afternoon, August 10th

FAMEFest August 2014 horizontal

A very special FameFest will take place on Melrose next Sunday, August 10th.  From 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. the Melrose Business Improvement District will be hosting its first-ever FameFest BikeFest & Scavenger Hunt – a street-long treasure hunt and art show that people can bike to. Or walk to.

Participants will pick up their Scavenger Hunt Passport at the Fame Fest Art Yard, located at 7761 Melrose Ave. , between Genesee Ave. and Ogden Dr.  FameFest will provide clues directing guests to participating retailers to get their passport stamped. At the end of the afternoon, prizes will be awarded – including a brand new bike and $500 worth of gift certificates from Melrose businesses – to winning passport holders! And Scavenger Hunt participants get special discounts and freebies at participating retailers on Melrose and at the Melrose Trading Post

And whether you are participating in the Scavanger Hunt or not, there’s fun for everyone!
• Enjoy live music from Bearwulf, DJ Mixter Ed and Chris & Maggie at the Fame Fest Art Yard.
• Also at the Art Yard there will be goods from local craftsmen, and you can watch live mural painting by Brandon Sopinsky, Eye One and Jennifer Korsen.
• And, of course, since it’s Fame Fest, you can sip and savor at the best food trucks in L.A.
