Most of us have experienced the overnight lane closures at Wilshire Blvd. and La Brea Ave., and at other intersections along Wilshire Blvd., as utility relocation and other work is being done in preparation for the digging of the Metro Purple Line Subway Extension.
There will be daytime lane closures at Wilshire Blvd. and La Brea Ave. for the next two Saturdays – Saturday, July 19th and Saturday, July 26th, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Metro contractors will be performing utility relocation work on Wilshire Blvd. from Sycamore Ave. to La Brea Ave. and La Brea Ave. from 6th street to Wilshire Blvd.
This operation requires the following lane closures:
Wilshire Blvd. westbound reduced to one lane from Sycamore Ave. to La Brea Ave.
La Brea Ave. southbound reduced to one lane from 6th St. to Wilshire Blvd.
Traffic Control Officers will be stationed at the work location to assist with traffic. No work is scheduled for Sundays.
