Design Review for Movietown Plaza Thursday, December 12th at 5:30 p.m.

The Design Review Subcommittee of the City of West Hollywood Planning Commission will be meeting in Room 5 at the Plummer Park Community Center this Thursday, December 12th starting at 5:30 p.m., and the main item on the agenda is a presentation of the design of the Movietown Plaza Mixed-Use Project.  Movietown Plaza  – which faces Santa Monica Blvd., between Poinsettia Place and Fuller Ave. – is less than a half-block from the north edge of Melrose Village, and so the development there will have an impact on our neighborhood.  And we would like it to be a good one.

Almost all of the tenants at Movietown Plaza have moved out, so this project is nearing the time for demolition, to be followed by construction of the new development.  The West Hollywood Planning Commission and its Design Review Subcommittee will have input on the project.

A recent rendering of the proposed development is included below, and the agenda for the meeting is also included here.  The public is invited to speak on this project, so you may choose to attend. The Plummer Park Community Center is at 7377 Santa Monica Blvd., at Martel Ave.
