The National Council of Jewish Women/Los Angeles (NCJW/LA) annual Clothing Giveaway will take place on Sunday, December 8th — rain or shine — from 8 a.m. until 12 noon. Members of the community who are in need or at risk will be invited to select from thousands of pieces of clothing and children’s books. They will also be able to receive information from local social service providers at the Community Resource Fair in the same location.
The event will be held in the NCJW/LA Council House parking lot, 543 N. Fairfax Ave., near the corner of Clinton St. (Nearby street parking is available.)
At last year’s Clothing Giveaway, NCJW/LA’s eight Council Thrift Shops provided more than 5,000 people with 85,000 pieces of clothing. Many of the attendees learned of the event through local community service agencies, homeless shelters, and battered women’s facilities.
Over 200 volunteers donated their time to make this event possible. More volunteers will be needed this year. To volunteer for the Clothing Giveaway, or for more information, call 323-852-8515 or email email@example.com.
