L.A. Triathalon to close roads Sunday, September 29th

This year’s City of Los Angeles Triathlon will take place this Sunday, September 29, 2013. As in past years,, the route starts at Venice, goes east on Venice Blvd. to Fairfax Ave., then north to Olympic Blvd. and east to downtown.  That means there will be traffic restrictions in the area south of Melrose Village.

Street closures will begin as early as 3:30 a.m.  But while the race is still going in a given area, there will be no crossing points. You can cross the route only before the race and and then only at key major intersections. Once a sector is clear, it will be reopened. Estimated reopening times for the sectors are included on the map.
