Two great things to do next Thursday Night, March 1st

Two big events are going on next Thursday evening, March 1st, on Melrose Ave. within a few blocks east of Fairfax Ave.  In no particular order …

Assemblymember Mike Feuer is holding an Open House at Fairfax High School from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.  Assemblymember Feuer will be discussing issues facing California as well as solutions.  There’s free parking at the school (enter from Melrose) and a special performance by the Fairfax High School Band.  The Open House is requesting donations of canned goods and toiletries to benefit the SOVA Community Food & Resource Program, part of Jewish Family Services.  For additional information or to RSVP, call 310-285-5490 or email nicole.carcel@asm.ca.gov.  Since this is right here in Melrose Village, this is a great opportunity to participate.  Click here for flyer.

And next Thursday is also Melrose Night, so be sure to save your appetite for some yummys from the food trucks that will be all along Melrose from Ogden Dr. (right at Fairfax High) east to Stanley Ave.  Melrose Night is from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., so there will be plenty of time to shop and eat after the Assemblymember’s Open House. There are also special deals at various merchants in the area. You can see all the details on the Melrose Night website.
