Melrose Village has virtually every amenity and convenience within walking distance – a rare feature in Los Angeles, and a very desirable one to those of us who like urban living.
One thing we have lacked, though, is a hotel. We have not had a place to recommend to friends and relatives when there was just not enough room at home. Or a suggestion for an acquaintance who was interested in experiencing our community.
The Palihotel Melrose Avenue just opened at the corner of Melrose and Hayworth, one block west of Fairfax Avenue. It is owned by the same folks who run the popular Palihouse on Holloway Drive in West Hollywood.
According to the Palihotel web site:
Palihotel Melrose Avenue is a new boutique hotel offering 32 intimate, fun, comfortable and contemporary guest rooms, lobby lounge, café as well as a private courtyard and patio areas. Palihotel Melrose Avenue is located in the heart of the Melrose Shopping District, a vibrant and dynamic area known as one of Los Angeles’ most popular and trendsetting destinations for entertainment, dining and shopping.
We did a search of room rates for an upcoming weekend and found that they ran from $239 to $269 depending on the size of the room. Not cheap, but not bad for a new boutique hotel in a great location.
Tell your relatives they can visit now.
