French Wine Tastings at the Farmers Market

We received this information from our friends at Monsieur Marcel gourmet market and restaurant in the Farmers Market:

Monsieur Marcel is hosting a series of wine tastings this fall that are essentially free for people to attend.  While it costs $30-35 to reserve a spot, each attendee will receive a gift certificate for the full amount of the tasting that they can then use toward the purchase of any of the gourmet market’s imported wines.

Here are the upcoming events:

Tuesday, October 18th, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. – Sud De La France.  Journey to the South of France with a white, Rosé and three reds from lesser known regions of Southern France.  Cost: $30.

Tuesday, October 25th, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. – Côtes Du Rhône.  A region with five of the greatest syllables ever spoken: Chateauneuf-du-pape.  Côtes Du Rhône is home to the sultriest red wines in France – attendees will taste four of them, including a Chateauneuf-du-pape.  Cost: $30.

Tuesday, November 1st, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. – Santé! Cheers!  Champagne and Vin Mousseux.  Enjoy two sparkling wines and three bottles from the Champagne region – including Rosé and surprise accoutrements.  Cost: $35.
