Our neighborhood council, Mid City West Community Council, will hold its board meeting Tuesday (July 12, 2011), starting at 7:00 pm. The meeting takes place in the National Council of Jewish Women building, 543 N. Fairfax Avenue (one block south of Melrose Avenue, enter parking lot from the alley west of Fairfax).
Any community member can give a 3-minute long “Public Comment” at the beginning of the meeting, simply by filling out a Public Comment card and handing the card in to the board members at the head of the table. So, make your voice heard!
This month’s meeting includes discussions about LACMA’s Bicycle Day-LA, the city’s proposed bicycle parking ordinance, public safety issues in our community, a proposed development at 5891 Olympic Boulevard, and an update on the new Caruso mixed-use complex at 8500 Burton Way (at San Vicente), which will include luxury apartments and a new Trader Joe’s.
