The gourmet burger trend shows no sign of letting up.
We have three great burger options in the neighborhood already – The Foundry on Melrose, 8 oz. Burger Bar, and Golden State. In March, they will be joined by what is sure to be a leading contender for the title of best burger in Los Angeles – Short Order at the Original Farmers Market.
Short Order is the new restaurant from Amy Pressman and Nancy Silverton, she of the Mozza Empire. It is currently being built in the 2-story structure just to the west of Du-par’s. (This structure used to house the Du-par’s bakery.)
The restaurant will have seating for 88 diners, and will serve a range of burgers, from beef to duck to tofu. Hours of operation will be 6:00 am to 11:00 pm (1:00 am on Fridays and Saturdays). Beer and wine will be available.
Duck burgers? Bring it on.
