We’re now seeing some of the planned changes moving ahead in the area of La Brea Ave. and Romaine St. In that area, the boundary with the City of West Hollywood runs along the center of Romaine St.
The new Sit ‘n Sleep bedding store is starting to set up at 969 N. La Brea Ave., where Pacific Radio used to be. The store sign is now up, and the company’s commercials are indicating that this location is “opening soon.”

And across the street from there, work seems to be starting on the old Jerry Solomon building on the southeast corner of Romaine St. and La Brea Ave. New plywood barriers and sidewalk protection has recently been added, so we expect that signals construction.

So we’ll see exactly what will be going on there. At least it’s progress.
I like The Beatles mural in front of the construction site.
