It looks like our local world-famous comedy theater will be undergoing some renovations.
At a recent performance, the Groundlings were handing out requests for tax-deductible donations to help them fix up their theater. (In case you didn’t know, the Groundlings is a non-profit organization – which is how they can offer a great show nearly every night for $10-20 a ticket.)
They are trying to raise $90,000 in the next six months in order to install a new set, new seating, and new design (which we are guessing means new lighting).
If you are feeling generous, you can donate here.
And if you haven’t been to see a show there lately, drop on by. It’s one of the most consistently entertaining things in all of Los Angeles.
One more thing: our visit to the Groundlings web site revealed that the new George Clooney movie that is getting rave reviews, The Descendants, was co-written by two Groundlings, the always-funny Nat Faxon and Jim Rash. Congrats.
