Two interesting events take place in the neighborhood on Thursday night:
On Melrose, just east of Fairfax, the monthly Melrose Night takes place, featuring food trucks, special store promotions, and general festivities. The event runs from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Food trucks on tap this month include Komodo Truck, Buttermilk, Cool Haus, Nom Nom, Lobsta Truck, Border Grill, and more.
Meanwhile, on Melrose just east of La Brea, Gallery 1988 hosts an opening reception (from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm) for its latest exhibit, “Please Post Bills.” That’s as in actor-comedian Bill Murray. According to the gallery:
We pay tribute to a comedic genius, Bill Murray. Almost 80 artists will create paintings, prints and sculptures, all inspired by the funny man’s work.
