The Internets are abuzz about two trendy new stores that just opened in our neighborhood. They are:
Standard Goods, on Beverly Boulevard between La Brea Avenue and Detroit Street. Urban Daddy describes it as “a dapper new general store from a Band of Outsiders alum, now quietly open on Beverly Boulevard. If you’re looking to carve out a wholesome, all-American rep this fall (minor damage control after your summer), this is where to pick up a few things. Think gray plaid Our Legacy flannel, a nautical striped shirt from Armor Lux and a weekend bag from Makr to throw everything in on Friday afternoon.”
Meanwhile, over on Fairfax Avenue, Iko Iko is opening a branch just north of Willoughby Avenue. Daily Candy explains, “The celebrated design shop breaks in new digs with a ceramics installation by Jessica Hans. Browse Waka Waka furniture, Juju Made bags, Hannah Keefe jewelry, and trinkets from Japan.”
It all sounds like fun – but they are making up some of these names, right? Waka Waka?
Right back at ya.
